About
Charlotte is an emerging sculptor with a strong foundation in interior design and manufacturing engineering. After gaining a 1st class masters degree in Product Design and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Nottingham, her career began as an interior designer at Princess Yachts in 2019. Charlotte relocated to Florence at the start of 2024 to pursue her passion and hone her talent for sculpture at Studio Galleria Romanelli. Currently based in Plymouth, she operates her studio out of the prestigious Royal William Yard. Charlotte's experience makes her skilled in merging artistic vision with functional design.
"I have a deep respect for the technical skill of portrait and figurative sculpture having studied in Florence. I am also inspired by boldness, colour and human emotion. I love that sculpture has the ability, as a three-dimensional medium, to tell a changing story from every angle. Making use of this in my work, where there is light, there is also shade. I aim to encapsulate the highs and the lows of what it means to be human and give forms to the stories we tell ourselves to change our moods."
Charlotte is a member of South West Sculptors and has current representation with Brownston Gallery in Devon.
